Claire Thorpe – STYLE DIRECTOR

I joined Scots over 8 years ago, after making the move from another salon—and what a journey it’s been since! From the very beginning, I’ve been lucky to receive more training than I can count, which has not only strengthened my skills but also really boosted my confidence as a stylist.

One of the highlights of my career so far was being selected for the TIGI Inspirational Youth 2018 team. Cutting hair on stage in front of over 300 people was one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done—but also one of the most rewarding. It really helped me grow, both personally and professionally.

What matters most to me is making sure every client in my chair feels truly relaxed, listened to, and looked after. I believe great hair starts with great communication, and I take pride in creating a space where clients feel comfortable and confident.

These past 8 years have been packed with incredible experiences—from photoshoots and competitions to advanced training and industry events—and I’m so grateful for all of it. I’m excited to keep growing, learning, and sharing that journey with every client who walks through the door.
