Dawn Gray – STYLE DIRECTOR

I’ve been part of the Scots team since we opened our doors in 2003. I was lucky enough to train one-on-one with Jennifer, completing the Classic Vardering programme where I learned all the Toni & Guy cutting and colouring techniques.

Over the years, I’ve taken countless courses and spent many of them as an Educator—training our apprentices and helping them grow into confident, capable stylists. Most recently, I completed a bridal hair course to keep my skills fresh and up to date. It’s always exciting learning new techniques, especially for such special occasions.

Although an injury led me to reduce my working hours, it’s also given me a much-needed work/life balance, which I truly value. At Scots, flexibility has always been a priority, and it’s allowed me to continue doing what I love most.

Styling hair has always been my greatest passion—especially hair-ups. That love earned me a place on our London photoshoot days, which has been nothing short of amazing! A real highlight of my career was assisting at London Fashion Week—an experience I’ll never forget and one I hope to enjoy again.

Outside of work, I treasure the balance I’ve found between my career and family life, and I love spending quality time with my grandchildren.
